I think interviewers should step up their interview game and get other ways of getting to know the interviewees other than the dictionary questions we all know about....get more details i.e. which project were you working on,no of people involved,challenges encountered,victories, collaboration style...get more details am sure you will be able to catch a liar

I had an interview today and finished with the Big 3... I don't know how it went but the first interviewer seemed delighted for the opportunity to talk instead of take notes... Even asked the Have you any hesitation about my fit for the role or with the team... So bold (and unlike me)... Thanks I've never had an interview coach before... I felt nervous, of course, but when asked I said confident and prepared 😊

Had my third interview with the VP after having a phone screen, hiring manager interview, and project. She said they loved my project and they were impressed with my work. She said they were trying to wrap up the process soon but it’s been two days and I’m just full of anxiety waiting for news. When I sent the follow up email the same afternoon, HR got back to me in 5 minutes seemingly happy that it went well. I hope I hear soon 😅

I would have found it very useful if you had shared an actual example of what you would have said as a way of demonstrating how you craft a response using the Present-Past-Future structure. Without hearing an example, I’m still confused.

I have said those "no, you have answered all of my questions" and still go a job. Not all companies are that difficult to gain a position. Yet, this video was still helpful and informative.

Wouldn’t it be better to cancel the vacation and not take the risk of having it mess up your new job? I handle the vacation affecting the work and team by just never going on vacation. HR doesn’t like it but they get told by my supervisor to let the issue go.

Abby, I just want to thank you because your vid’s have really helped me become comfortable and better prepared for interviews; however I am dealing with a situation that feels unbearable. I had an interview a week ago and I felt so great about it afterward honestly thinking I gave the best interview of my work career so far. I had great answers and anecdotes that highlighted my skills and knowledge of the organization. Well I got the lowest grade (in my line of work we are graded and ranked) so far in my career. The worst part is one of my interviewers works with me (she’s full time while I’m part time). She happens to be on the panels of all the local branches that are interviewing . I felt absolutely ill siting next to her today because it was the first time since the interview that I was seeing her. I was polite of course but she was markedly colder to me with just a hi/bye. I should ask her for feedback but I am not ready to do so, I feel heartbroken and gutted. What do you suggest?

I noticed that even though I reply within an hour of receiving offered interview times, and they had times available during the entire week, they assign to me the time on the last day that week reserved for interviews.
